Alexandra Juhasz

Dr. Alexandra Juhasz is Professor of Media Studies at Pitzer College. She has a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from NYU and has taught courses on YouTube, media archives, activist media, documentary, and feminist film. She is the author of "AIDS TV: Identity, Community and Alternative Video," "Women of Vision: Histories in Feminist Film and Video," "F is for Phony: Fake Documentary and Truth’s Undoing," and "Learning from YouTube." Dr. Juhasz is also the producer of educational videotapes on feminist issues from AIDS to teen pregnancy. She directed the documentaries "SCALE: Measuring Might in the Media Age," "Video Remains," "Dear Gabe," and "Women of Vision: 18 Histories in Feminist Film and Video." She is the producer of the feature films "The Watermelon Woman" (1997) and "The Owls" (2010).
