Jim is a 35 year veteran of the advertising agency business. He started his career in Chicago, and went on to work at major agencies in New York and Los Angeles before returning to Chicago where he started his own agency 15 years ago. During his agency career, Jim worked on major accounts like Citibank, Kraft Foods, Burger King, General Electric, Toshiba, Arby’s and many others. In 1999 Jim started what is now eswStoryLab Marketing, a branding agency that has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing independent companies in the U.S., three years straight. Three years ago, Jim wrote a best-selling, award-winning book title StoryBranding: Creating Standout Brands Through The Power of Story. In addition to running his agency, Jim is frequently found speaking in front of audiences, showing them how the method of StoryBranding can turn any business into a magnetic story that customers will want to become part of and share with others.
