Dan Briskin


Dan Briskin, Vice President of Global Employee Relations, is responsible for workforce issue resolution for Gap Inc.’s 135,000 employees. He provides strategic oversight for the management of employee concerns involving discrimination, harassment and workplace violence, and counsels on the development and execution of global employee policy. Dan also leads Gap Inc.’s Labor Relations team in partnership with the Global Responsibility team. As the executive sponsor of the company’s Women and Opportunity Initiative, Dan plays an instrumental role in this broad-based effort to propel Gap Inc. to be the premier employer destination for women in the retail industry. Dan joined Gap Inc. in May 2000. Previously, he worked as a labor and employment attorney with the law firms of Dorsey & Whitney and Schachter, Kristoff, Orenstein & Berkowitz. Dan holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
