Taylor Parker

Taylor Parker is a first grade teacher at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, in Santa Monica, CA. Dedicated to learning through play, Taylor – or “Tay Tay” as her kids call her – is a gregarious teacher who believes that the practical study of kindness is fundamentally the most important piece of a school’s curriculum. A founding member of Crossroad’s J.A.I.D. (Justice, Action, Identity, Diversity) Committee, Taylor’s lifelong goal is to create and implement lessons that encourage young people to begin to think about who they are, what their place in the world is, and what they can do to make change. Taylorbegan her career studying theatre and improvisational comedy, two crafts undoubtedly used every day while working with imaginative and dramatic six year olds. Taylor was first introduced to anti-bias curriculum while earning her Bachelor’s in Liberal studies at Antioch University in LA. A Santa Monica native, Taylor feels blessed to continue living and teaching in her hometown.
