Nancy Sommers Board
After receiving her accounting degree from the University of Maryland, Nancy was a practicing CPA prior to deciding to devote full-time to raising her children and supporting her husband’s professional endeavors. She soon realized she needed to stay involved in activities beyond her family, so she volunteered to serve on various non-profit boards usually in the capacity of Treasurer. As a volunteer treasurer, she led numerous large capital campaigns as well as watched over the financial affairs of many non-profit organizations in the Research Triangle Area of North Carolina. Nancy’s next opportunity to serve will be as a Hospice Support Volunteer for Transitions Hospice of Wake County. Nancy is the mother of four grown children, a grandmother and currently lives in Raleigh, NC. Her additional interests include documentation of her family’s history, her fitness program, Italian cuisine, NCAA sports and travel.
