Abel Calvo
A Social Communications professional with extensive experience in PR and Strategic Communications, Abel Calvo has been the Executive President of PROFRANQUICIAS, the Venezuelan Franchise Chamber since 2004.
He has worked in the field of Non-profit Organizations Management and as a journalist, specializing in Economy, Finance and Business, as well as Franchising. An experienced lecturer in Franchising, was an important part in the development of the first postgraduate
course in Franchising in Venezuela at Universidad Metropolitana, for which he currently serves as the Academic Coordinator.
Among his responsibilities are Managing the daily activities of PROFRANQUICIAS , as well as coordinating and supervising the Chamber’s main events, such as la Feria de las Franquicias (Venezuela's Annual Franchise Expo), La Gala de las Franquicias (the National
Franchise Awards Ceremony) and the Diplomado de Gerencia Integral de Franquicias at Universidad Metropolitana.
