Anita Dominguez


Founder of Military Families and Survivors First in 2012 and currently serves as the president, overseeing all aspects of the organization. Anita retired in 2012 from Headquarters, Installation Management Command Joint Base San Antonio, Texas where she worked as Program Manager for Casualty and Mortuary Affairs, responsible for over 3.1 M in funds and oversight of 233 employees stateside and overseas. She managed and ensured proper utilization and expenditure of funds throughout 31 Casualty Assistance Centers. She was responsible for the Army’s casualty mission and instrumental in supporting Survivors Outreach Services Program. Anita radiates excitement about her work with military families and survivors of fallen heroes. “Serving her country for over 30 years in uniform and now assisting the men and women who serve the cause of freedom,” she says. “Working with Military Families and Survivors First is remarkable. She zeroes in on their needs so they can move forward in life.
