Deborah Snyder

She is an Army Veteran and a native of Alexandria, Virginia. She retired in 2009 as a LT Col. with 21 years of service as a helicopter pilot in the Aviation Branch. LT Col. Snyder is a Magna cum laude graduate of James Madison University and a distinguished military graduate of JMU’s Reserve Officer Training Corps program. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and a Masters in Military Studies. She served in a variety of leadership positions along with extensive experience managing programs at the tactical and strategic levels. LT Col.Snyder is a decorated combat Veteran. Her military training includes the Aviation Advanced & Basic Courses; Air Assault & Airborne schools; UH-1 “Huey” & UH-60 Blackhawk Flight Training, and the Test Pilot Course. Deborah also attended the Combined Arms and Service Staff School, Marine Command and Staff College and the Army Force Management School. She currently works for the Department of Defense.
