Brennan Dolan


Brennan is a cultural resources project manager and archaeologist for the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT). Previously, he worked for the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) in Iowa, the Louis Berger Group, and the National Park Service (Midwest Archeological Center). His professional research interests include the proto-historic period, faunal analysis, experimental Woodland period ceramic replication, fire studies, and site preservation. As a cultural resources manager Brennan has worked on a number of projects that span the identification, evaluation, mitigation spectrum. He has also worked on a number of “other” projects including the Iowa DOT Statewide Historical Sites Management Plan and the 2014 Iowa Tribal Summit on Cultural Preservation and Transportation. His educational background includes undergraduate work at the University of Northern Iowa and his graduate work at the University of of Nebraska at Lincoln.
