Colleen Bushnell
Colleen is a medically retired U.S. Air Force NCO and national advocate for military justice policy reform. She deployed in support of OIF/OEF to Al Udeid AB, Qatar, in 2004. Reporting sexual assault at Lackland Air Force Base, public affairs, resulted in her medical retirement in 2006. As an Advocacy Committee Member for Protect Our Defenders, Washington D.C. in 2012, she helpied bring about the Lackland Hearings on Capitol Hill. She promotes Bystander Intervention training, and supports the Military Justice Improvement Act. She raises awareness through the MST through the One Billion Rising global campaign to end violence against women (and men). She is founder of MST Advocacy Pathways (MAP), a peer to peer support group for MST survivors. She is also founder of Veteran Empowerment Team USA.
