Gwen Harris is the Senior Bird Keeper at the Oregon Zoo. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organismal Biology at the University of Kansas - go Jayhawks - and recently finished her Masters of Zoology with Miami University. Gwen has worked with birds and other animals from Kansas to Alaska and now in Oregon. Her studies and travels have taken her scuba diving and bird watching in Peru, Alaska, Mexico, and Borneo. She always makes a point to nerd out at local zoos and aquariums whenever she travels. In her spare time, Gwen bands ducks with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, fundraises for Ducks Unlimited, and walks dogs at the Clackamas County shelter.
