Shirley Clark
Shirley Clark is the CEO and Executive Director the Women’s Center, where she is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight of programs and development, and day-to-day operations. Shirley has been associated with The Women’s Center since 2006; first as a member of the Leadership Conference Committee and then serving as a Board Member. After serving in strategic leadership roles at First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo) and Freddie Mac, Shirley stepped out of the corporate environment to establish a self-directed career that would allow more time with her young sons. In 2003 she established an international consulting organization and in 2004 also co-founded Choose 2 Lead Women’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission to help women find their voices to create better communities and sustainable workplace environments proved to be a perfect forerunner to her work at The Center.
