Pam Scannell

My guest Pam Scannell is executive director of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce. The great thing about Chambers of Commerce is that they give a forum for all local businesses to exchange information, to listen to speakers talking about the changes to managing businesses, sales training, new technology and so on. It provides mentors for new businesses to the area, it enables members to network, solicit new customers within the chamber and learn from the best practices of other members. One of the most important attributes of a successful business today is that they give back to the community and Chambers of Commerce lead that charge in their cities. So Chambers of Commerce are extremely important. The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1920, almost 100 years ago and became official in 1947. Since then they have done a tremendous amount of work with local businesses and have achieved an extraordinary amount for charities and the local area.
