Ron R DeFreitas
Ron Defreitas is Founder and CFO of the Reel American Heroes Foundation. Ron started the foundation 6 years ago to provide much needed recreational therapy to our wounded and combat servicemen and servicewomen. After volunteering to help bass clubs get out heroes out on the water, he noticed how much they benefited from these trips. After his second year of helping he was given the responsibility to run one of the events for a Washington DC based Bass Club. In order to make the event a success he used his credit card to personally purchased fishing rods and reels as well as tackle boxes for our heroes for the event. This experienced changed the way he looked at life and I realized he got more out of the experience than he gave. It got him thinking as to how he could do a better job providing this recreational therapy. The very next day he formed the Board of Directors and started the Reel American Heroes Foundation.
