Karyn Flynn

Karyn is CEO of the Bay Area Discovery Museum. She has an MBA from London Business School and BA in History and Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to her work with the Museum Karyn was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Private Wealth Management Group. She launched her career in Poland as a Fund Manager for Creditanstalt-SCG Fund Management and later worked with Korona Investment Fund. Karyn has extensive non-profit board experience, having sat on the boards of the San Francisco Financial Women’s Association, the Mountain Play, Marin Advocates for Children, Heyday Books, the Bay Area Discovery Museum (where she was Chair of the Board) and served as co-head of the West Coast chapter of 85 Broads. In addition, she has been recognized as one of the most influential women in San Francisco by the San Francisco Business Times. She currently lives in Marin County with her husband and three children.
