"Mindfulness is essential to the health of my mind, just as bathing, eating and exercising are critical to the health of my body." - Manish Chopra
Manish Chopra is a partner at McKinsey & Company in New York, a global management consulting firm, where he advises CEOs, senior executives, and government officials on strategy topics.
He is the author of “The Equanimous Mind,” available on Amazon at http://amzn.to/1XpcoVY. Manish volunteered for a ten-day Vipassana retreat in Mumbai. It changed his life, and this is the story of how it happened. It is a blow by blow (or thought by thought) account of what it is like to learn meditation from scratch, what it does to you mentally, physically and spiritually, day by day, sometimes hour by hour.
He grew up in India and attended college at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi before completing his masters and PhD from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
He loves to travel and is a keen squash and bridge player.
