Fred Barnes
Frederic "Fred" Barnes is an American political commentator. He is the Executive Editor and Cofounder of The Weekly Standard, and regularly appears on the Fox News Channel program Special Report with Bret Baier. From 1985 to 1995, he was Senior Editor and White House correspondent for the New Republic. Barnes was previously the co-host of the Fox News Channel program, The Beltway Boys with Mort Kondracke, and has regularly appeared on Nightline, Meet the Press, and Face the Nation. Barnes has written for Reader’s Digest, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and numerous other publications.
