Stephanie Mitchell
Stephanie Mitchell grew up in San Diego, CA and was born loving horses. She took lessons and showed horses when she was younger, and continued to ride for fun as an adult. After graduating college from SDSU with a Biology degree, she still tried to find her passion and career. She finally discovered an activity called therapeutic horseback riding and volunteered for 5 years with a local program. During this time, she taught lessons for riders with special needs, trained and conditioned the horses, and began to dabble in fundraising. She founded a non-profit organization called Sunshine Ranch Therapeutic Riding in April 2012, and received her Certification as a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) International Therapeutic Riding Instructor in 2013.
