Chris Enders attended the University of MD, where he earned his B.A. Degree in Communication. While at the University, he contemplated joining the USMC through the OCS program, to follow in the footsteps of many of his family members. After careful consideration, he realized that Marines were not for him, and backed out of the program; After years of working in fields that didn’t feel fulfilling, he found himself unemployed due to a companywide layoff. He wasn’t going to take just any job, He wanted something that gave him fulfillment. At that time a family member mentioned a non-profit called Operation Second Chance that helps wounded veterans, and told him to check them out to see if they were hiring. The next day a position was posted online- the rest is history; he says “helping heroes is what I was meant to do.” They are patriotic citizens committed to serving our wounded, injured and ill combat veterans.
