Ms. Shamara McFarland


Shamara has been a public servant for the past seventeen years. She is currently a supervisor and a licensed Administrator through the State of California. She graduated California State University at Long Beach with two Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Black Studies. She obtained a Masters of Art degree in Forensic Psychology and she was selected as one of the inspirational speakers at her graduation with over 5,000 in attendance. She is continuing her pursuit in education to obtain a doctorate degree in law. Moreover, she obtained certifications in crisis intervention advocate/counselor advocating for survivors of sexual assault with the Long Beach Sexual Assault Crisis Agency (SACA), mediation and conflict resolution, training youth, tutoring youth, and PowerPoint and Excel. A certified At-Risk Prevention Counselor. In 2010, she became a certified Administrator through the California Department of Social Services. She continues to encourage women with a message of hope.
