Paul is the Intake/Outreach Specialist for the Maryland Center for Veterans Education & Training. In most cases, Paul is the first contact that MCVET’s students have upon their arrival to the facility. It is his job to identify and locate homeless veterans throughout the country. He has relationships with numerous VA medical centers, hospitals, substance abuse treatment facilities, and contacts throughout the legal system.
He is a Navy veteran that is very passionate about assisting his fellow veterans in need. Once a homeless veteran himself, Paul knows what it is like to walk in their shoes. He became homeless in 2006 and found himself walking through MCVET’s front door looking for assistance. He entered the MCVET program and stayed for 3 years. During his stay, Paul obtained a degree in Addictions Counseling and graduated as Salutatorian of his class. Following college, he worked as a substance abuse counselor prior to returning to MCVET to work in his current position.
