Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis is the founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Classes 4 Classes, the author of Choosing Hope: How I Moved Forward from Life's Darkest Hour, and an inspirational speaker for teachers, students, and organizations across the country. Previously, she was a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and after saving her students from the unfathomable 2012 tragedy, she has dedicated her life to spreading the message of hope and kindness around the globe. Kaitlin has been honored as a Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year, a L'Oreal Paris Woman of Worth, and she received the Dedicated Teacher Award from the Chicago International Conference on Education. Kaitlin was also recently awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and was a Books for a Better Life nominee.
