Marie Biancuzzo is an internationally recognized author and expert in childbearing issues. Since 1991, Marie has published many peer-reviewed articles related to labor/delivery, breastfeeding, and other topics. She was the founding editor of AWHONN’s Nursing for Women’s Health and a regular columnist for Childbirth Instructor. She is author of Breastfeeding the Newborn: Clinical Strategies for Nurses.
Marie has held positions as staff nurse, clinical nurse specialist, and nurse administrator at community and university-based hospitals, as well as faculty positions at prestigious universities. She was twice chosen to serve on the NCLEX panel (for the RN licensing exam.) She is a founding member of the United States Breastfeeding Committee and a past president of Baby-Friendly USA; she served in leadership capacities in both organizations for over a decade.
Currently, Marie is the Director of Education at Breastfeeding Outlook.
