Ms. CJ Eastman

Two weeks after I was born, my birth mother sold me to my parents for $500. Then, at the age of about 5 years old, my parents drove me back to my father’s home town in Kentucky, where they proceeded to give false information in order to receive a birth certificate. I have lived with that new identity all of my life. Sadly, around the age of 15, my father had a complete mental breakdown. I spent the next 3 years living with different friends and their families, just trying to graduate from high school. Little did I know that I was technically considered homeless. Once I graduated high school I spent my time at many different jobs, and in and out of community colleges, just trying to make a life for myself. I am a successful entrepreneur, wearing many hats, in RealEstate, TV Production, Political Aide, Event Coordination, Fundraiser and Media Consultant. I earned my Bachelor Degree at the age of 52. Now at 55, I am now happily married for 26 years with two wonderful adult children.
