Dr. Sherilyn Gordon Burroughs
Dr. Gordon Burroughs joined the Houston Methodist Transplant Center in 2009 where she focuses on liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery and intestinal failure. She is an Associate Professor of Surgery, and is the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program. She assumed the role of Designated Institutional Official for Houston Methodist in 2015. Her research interests include access to transplantation, early diagnosis and surgical treatment of cholangiocarcinoma, and innovation in medical education, particularly the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education.
