Scott Bennett
Scott co-founded Fire and Explosion Consultants, LLC in 2012, but since beginning his career as a volunteer fire cadet in 1976 has spanned over 40 years in the fields of fire science, law enforcement, and fire/explosion investigations. Scott finished his public service as a Senior Fire Investigator with the Regional Fire Investigation Unit and a sworn deputy sheriff.
Scott is an IAAI-CFI, NAFI-CFEI, CFII, and CVFI. Scott is a court-qualified fire investigation expert testifying as an expert in federal, state, and local courts.
Scott is an active member of the International Association of Arson Investigators. His involvement began in the Ohio Chapter where he served in several executive positions and earned recognition as the Chapter’s “Fire Investigator of the Year” in 2001. Currently, Scott serves on the Executive Board of the International as the First Vice President and will ascend to acting President in April of 2017.
