John Morris
John Morris is the principal owner of Morris Fire Investigations. John is a retired ATF Special Agent Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and Certified Explosives Specialist (CES). John’s expertise includes over 725 fire and explosion scene examinations with multiple instances of expert testimony in federal and state courts. Prior to forming Morris Fire Investigations, John retired as a Supervisory Special Agent with ATF with over 26 years of service, more than half of that time as a fire and explosion investigator. In addition to being an ATF CFI and ATF CES, he was a member of ATF’s prestigious National Response Team.
Among the hundreds of fire and explosion scenes investigated by John include the Boston Marathon Bombing, Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing and multiple serial bombing and arson cases. John was also the lead CFI on the USS Miami, a nuclear submarine fire, with a $1,000,000,000 dollar loss.
