Michael Shumway Lee is a United States Senator from Utah - elected to office in 2010. He began his career as a clerk for the U.S. District Court before serving as a clerk for future Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. Lee worked as Assistant U.S. Attorney for Utah from 2002 to 2005. As Senator, Lee has been a proponent of limiting the EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and reforming social security. Lee is the Chairman of the Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Subcommittee and serves on the Energy and Natural Resources, Armed Services, Judiciary and Joint Economic Committees.
