Catt Gravitt is an American songwriter based in Nashville Tennessee, where for over 20 years she has been a platinum selling hit maker, with her current publishing deal with Razor and Tie. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University in journalism, Catt was signed to A&M Records in an all-girl pop group in Los Angeles. When the group parted ways she moved to Nashville where she wrote a song about a fire that injured her godson that was recorded by Gospel Music star Natalie Grant, which became a CCM #1 single, nominated for Gospel Music Association Song of the Year and Pop Song of the Year in 2008. In 2012 Catt was named SESAC Songwriter of the Year with hits including Where You Are for Rascal Flatts, Underneath and Runnin for pop artist Adam Lambert, Honestly for Kelly Clarkson, Amen for Eden’s Edge, Alone With You for Jake Owen; Love and Why Ya Wanna for Jana Kramer, and 8 of the 11 tracks with a producer credit on the debut album for rock band Sons of Sylvia.
