Jason Ziph


Jason Ziph is a Fire Inspector with the St. Joseph Fire Department, where he started as a Firefighter in 1999. He’s worked as an Inspector for over 10 years, and has investigated over 400 fires and explosions. Inspector Ziph is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has earned an AAS degree in Paramedic Technology from Missouri Western State University, and will complete his Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Fire Investigation, from Charter Oak State College, by the end of the year. In 2011, he was paired with Phoenix, a golden Labrador retriever, as part of the State Farm Insurance Accelerant Detection Canine Program. Inspector Ziph is a graduate of multiple National Fire Academy Courses, and the Medicolegal Death Investigator course at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
