David Thurston is the founder of Pulp Riot, a professional hair color line sold throughout the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world. Pulp Riot’s largest distributor is SalonCentric, and the product line is part of the Luxury Brand Partners family of products that also includes Oribe, R+Co, and Smith & Cult. David is also the founder of Butterfly Loft, an award-winning, eco-friendly, upscale salon and spa in Los Angeles (Encino.) Awarded, Best New Salon in North America by Salon Designer’s International, and Best Salon in the Valley by the readers of Ventura Blvd. Magazine. He also co-founded Ubungalows, and Butterfly Circus, a traveling collection of educators who tour the United States and Canada teaching the latest cutting, coloring, styling, and business skills in an innovative, fast-paced format.
