Alvaro Orrantia


Alvaro is a Systems Engineer (Hons) and MBA. For more than 20 years, he has been actively involved in the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Information Security practices; as part of his experience, Alvaro successfully managed business continuity during the August 2003 blackout and SARS, the 2013 ice storm in southern Ontario, and Hurricane Matthew among others.
Alvaro is currently a Senior Director at RBC; prior to joining RBC, Alvaro worked for TD Bank, Blackberry, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, ADP Canada and TNT Logistics in leadership positions. Alvaro also served in the military.
Alvaro sits on the board of directors of a registered charity that supports education and health for 100 children in Colombia.
