Dr. Urko Sanchez
Dr. Urko Sanchez is a Machine Learning Development Manager and Expert at SAP. A big part of his job consists of finding out when/what/how to apply Machine Learning to solve enterprise-related challenges. He is leading a Berlin-based team of engineers and Machine Learning experts devoted to build SAP Leonardo ML foundation; SAP’s Machine Learning platform. In the last 4-5 years, Urko has been working on Machine/Deep Learning applying models to wide range of fields including Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. Prior to that, he worked in the finance industry developing mathematical models for credit and market risk management. He holds a PhD and a MsC in Mathematical Engineering from Charles III University of Madrid with a focus on partial differential equations as well as a BsC in Pure Mathematics.
