Sinu Joseph is currently the Managing Trustee at Mythri Speaks and is committed to bring in awareness on issues pertaining to women and children in India. Sinu began work in the social space in 2009 and has been associated with various organizations and initiatives. She began her journey with Youth for Seva, where she worked for 4 years as Coordinator of Doctors for Seva and later, as Project Manager. Following this she worked with The Forward Foundation on Solid Waste Management for 2 years, while independently continuing her work on women’s health, especially menstruation. Sinu has participated in three TEDx talks on how women in rural India view and manage menstruation. She is an Engineer by qualification and chose to work in the social space. She has travelled extensively across rural India interacting with more than 17000 adolescent girls and women to really understand their practices and problems pertaining to menstruation, first hand.Her work is always grounded in the present.
