Scott Morris
Scott Morris is an alternative currencies expert and founder of Ithacash, a new currency system utilized in and around Tompkins County, New York. Ithaca Dollars are a digital currency valued 1 for 1 with the US Dollar. They are accepted as all or part of the totals due for goods & services on offer by businesses and others. Ithaca Dollars are used to reward shopping locally, provide grant support to causes, and make credit available for micro and community-based enterprises.
In addition to his work with Ithacash, Scott works in the emerging cryptocurrency space with Bancor and others, and he founded AmeriQoin, an organization offering consulting and implementation assistance to existing community currencies, grassroots organizations, local business networks, and others seeking to create and deploy designer and/or targeted currency programs for social, environmental, and commercial purposes.
