Carl Bernosky

Carl worked in the family furniture business until his parents retired and was offered an opportunity to start duplicating rifle stocks. Since then, Carl has been building rifles and duplicating stocks full time.

He followed in his father’s footsteps and started competitive rifle shooting when he was 12. Early successes drove him to become a better shooter and compete at higher levels, winning the National High Power Championships in 1977 at Camp Perry as the youngest shooter to win this championship. He repeated Perry in 78, 79 and 80, becoming the first person to win 4 High Power Championships consecutively.

In 1981 Carl switched to International Competitions. In the next 11 years he made the National Team, shooting Smallbore, Air Rifle and 300 meters, enabling him to compete and win individual and team medals all over the world.

He intermittently returned to Camp Perry to win the National High Power Championships again in 2000, 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2012.
