JAY WALDO, COFOUNDER & WARRIOR RELATIONS CHIEF
Jay is a 29 year old Missouri native, currently residing in Kansas City. He served as a Combat Engineer in the Army National Guard from 2005 to 2011, during which year long combat deployment in Baghdad, Iraq (2007 to 2008). In 2014, Jay and his former platoon medic Adam Magers teamed up to start the Warriors’ Hope Project, a blog where they interviewed veterans and wrote articles exploring how these people who had experienced the horrors of war were able to come out with inspirational success stories. They wanted to do more than just write about it though, so they began looking for ways to act on what they were learning from the older, wiser vets they were interviewing. In November of 2015, after three years of fine tuning they landed on the current curriculum for Warriors’ Ascent. Jay now acts as the Warrior Relations Chief
