Marcy Tardio
Marcy (Perlman) Tardio is a licensed certified nurse midwife with a solo Homebirth practice in New York City and bordering areas of NJ. Her beginning interest in midwifery started in 1971, when she witnessed her first birth, a footling breech baby girl, delivered by the young father, in a log cabin in the hills of West Virginia. Marcy gave birth to her oldest son at home two years later. She became an RN in 1981, a midwife in 1988, and has practiced in hospital, free-standing birth centers and, for the last 20 years, in women’s homes. She lives in Brooklyn NY.
