Alex Huang


Alex Huang, is the founder of Quellthera, a company developing a new class of non-antibiotic drugs that interfere with bacterial communications to prevent them from harming a host. He and his team have spent the last decade harnessing how plant cells control infection in ways that protect healthy microbiomes and avoid generating microbial resistance. Mr. Huang graduated with multiple engineering degrees from Stanford University. He has been a consultant, entrepreneur and innovator in several technology fields including medical instrumentation, computers, surgical devices and biotechnology. His early career was shaped by Silicon Valley at Hewlett Packard, Becton Dickinson FACS and Next Computer. He went on to form PacifiX Product Development Consultants, cofound Percutaneous Systems and LiveLeaf, Inc., the predecessor to Quellthera. He has over 30 technology patents and has driven product innovation key to multiple acquisitions.
