Judge Ginger Lerner-Wren


Judge Ginger Lerner-Wren, author of Court of Refuge: Stories from the Bench of America's First Mental Health Court, is a Broward County Court Judge in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. She pioneered the first Mental Health Court in the U.S. since 1997 and became a Top Finalist, receiving an Innovating Justice Award in 2013, from the Hill Foundation in The Hague, Netherlands. She was also appointed by President George W. Bush to the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. Judge Lerner-Wren is a global speaker on mental health courts and therapeutic justice.
