Mark David Gibson


Capt. Mark David Gibson is a U.S. Air Force veteran. After ten years of service, he enrolled in an ambitious educational program which allowed him to simultaneously earn his undergraduate degree and a master’s degree, an achievement through which he earned officer status. He served for ten years as a Public Affairs Officer, which included multiple deployments to Afghanistan in Operation Desert Shield as well as Operations Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle. Vast private sector experience, he worked for the Bose Corporation quickly rising to become the company’s number one salesperson – and later moving on to a high-level consulting position with the prestigious firm Booz Allen Hamilton. More recently, Gibson worked with the U.S. Small Business Administration on their LGBT Outreach Initiative, LGBT Business Builder, with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Business Builder went on to receive the Harvard Bright Ideas award. “Served in Silence” is his first book.
