Maureen Thompson


Maureen Thompson's passions include spiritual psychology spirituality especially in terms of relationships, meditation, painting, travel, yoga, gardening and being an Auntie to 2 nieces and 3 nephews. She earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University, Seattle in 2000 with an emphasis on Transpersonal Psychology and Art Therapy. Post graduate school studies include Rites of Passage, Buddhism, Taoism, Mysticism, Qi Gong, Non-violent Communication, and several forms of indigenous/ Shamanic ritual and healing. Maureen’s current focus and most joyful expression is in facilitating embodiment-based counsel for individuals, couples and groups. This work teaches people how to access and release fear, old patterns and trauma from the body and nervous system. In 2000-2004 she studied art at Seattle's Gage Academy. Most recently she has been painting mandalas and leads “Meditation into Mandala painting” retreats which involves learning to paint from the heart.
