Dr. Mimi Nartey


Dr. Mimi Nartey is passionate about integrating science and philosophy to teach and promote social justice. She holds a lecturing appointment and adjunct faculty positions at Occidental College and LMU. Mimi is also the Founder and CEO of Race, Class, and Parenting, which is a marketplace of ideas for women to engage in dialogue on social dynamics and parenting. Formerly, Mimi was a professional soccer player. She was a silver-medalist in the African Women’s Cup of Nations and represented Ghana in the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Mimi is married to Kofi Nartey. The couple are co-founders of The Nartey Sports FoundationThe couple are co-founders of The Nartey Sports Foundation, and they were recently named a "2018 Los Angeles Power Couple" in Angeleno Magazine. They live with their two precocious children, Liya and Lincoln, in Playa Vista, CA.
