Hilary Salk


Hilary Salk is the author of "Eavesdropping in Oberammergau," a novel which draws on her experiences as an American Jewish girl living with her parents in Germany three years after the Holocaust. The book is based on the Oberammergau community in Germany where, every 10 years, The Passion Play is performed, with all actors from the community. Her book's revision anticipates Passion Play 2020, the next time the play will be performed, and people will travel from throughout the world to this part of Germany. Hilary Salk is a graduate of Brown University, earned a masters on English from Brown and MSW from RI College. During her career, she founded the Rhode Island Women’s Health Collective, ran for governor of Rhode Island and served as the broker for Salk Real Estate.
