Suzanne Bernier


A former journalist and press secretary, Suzanne is a multi-certified, award-winning and internationally-recognized crisis management consultant, speaker and author ("Disaster Heroes"), who has helped governments, communities and companies plan for and respond to disasters for over 20yrs. She was named 2016’s ‘Continuity & Resilience Consultant of the Year – North America’ by the Business Continuity Institute and was the guest of honor at The White House during FEMA’s 2016 Individual & Community Preparedness Awards. She has been involved in numerous crises, including the Manchester, San Bernardino, Brussels, and 9/11 attacks, the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire, Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, the H1N1 pandemic, the 2003 Northeast Blackout and the 1998 Ice Storm in Eastern Canada. She has her CEM, CBCP and MBCI designations.
