Ariel Mahler


Ariel Mahler (Producer/1st AD) is a New York City-based filmmaker and trans rights advocate. Mahler’s educational and professional background took root in live theatre direction and production. After graduating with an MA in Theater Education from Emerson College, Mahler co-founded a community-driven nonprofit Shakespeare company and served as Associate Artistic Director from 2012 - 2016.
As a freelance film and TV professional, Mahler works as a production assistant, assistant director, and producer on shorts, web series, and feature films. They also co-wrote, produced, and starred in the original web series, Bad Ally, an irreverent comedy that explores the ‘femmillennial’ friendship between a white, nonbinary trans person, and a cisgender, straight black woman.
