Omar Qudrat is the former Political Adviser to the NATO Ambassador, and former Department of Defense counter-terrorism prosecutor involved with the USS Cole attack and 9/11 attacks - including the case against alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad. Omar was born and raised in Los Angeles to parents who emigrated from Afghanistan. His childhood taught him about the evil mindset of gang members, which allowed him to later understand the mind of terrorists. But, where others in his neighborhood saw gloom and were discouraged about the future, Omar's family saw only opportunity and the American dream. Now he wants to help others see the possibility of the dream, which is why he is running for Congress in California's 52nd District.
