Khalid Latif

Imam Khalid Latif is a Chaplain for the NYPD and the Executive Director of the Islamic Center at NYU, the first ever established Muslim student center at a university in the USA.
Imam Latin's ability to cross interfaith and cultural lines on a daily basis brought him recognition in the form of being nominated by Mayor Bloombern to become the youngest chaplain in the history of the NYPD (at the age of 24), of being selected as one of 60 NYC leaders to serve on Mayor De Blasio's Transition Team, and being appointed to a "Task Force to combat hate" by the NYC Public Advocate Tisch James.
In 2012, Imam Latif co-founded the Of Many Institute with NYU's Vice-Chancellor Linda Mills, Rabbi Yehudi Sama, and Chelsea Clinton. The OM Institute is a groundbreaking programmatic model for multi faith leadership at the university level. The institute supports a new generation of religious and civic leaders who reach across faith boundaries to solve social problems together.
