Jeffrey Orrell, Founder and President of Neuma, never envisioned himself working in the beauty industry; yet after 29 years he has no regrets. “It is a unique and diverse business and is a great place for creative thinkers, with a lot of entrepreneurial opportunities,” Orrell continues to have a direct connection to the daily lives of beauty professionals. Moving around the country in his youth, Orrell experienced change on a regular basis. He always kept growing, playing a variety of sports and becoming captain of his basketball, football and baseball teams as a high school senior. It was that team spirit that he accredits his career philosophy too. “The experience of competing at high levels was so valuable and taught me the importance of working together, having an individual commitment for the greater cause. ”Today the greater cause is environmental sustainability and the goal of running a business with the highest possible standards.
