Jane Hassinger
Jane Hassinger is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she runs a practice as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst and conducts research at the University of Michigan Medical School in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
For over 25 years, her academic and consulting work has focused on issues related to gender inequality and diversity. She has explored gender-based stigma and violence as critical factors in psychological development and the transmission of trauma across generations.
Her clinical practice is inspired by a feminist and relational framework. She has been working with various organizations across the globe to establish a network of support and empowerment for abortion provider. She is also a co-author of "Women on purpose: Resilience and creativity of the Founding Women of Phumani Paper."
